Okorie Johnson Debuts Original Composition

Musician ans composer Okorie Johnson recently posted a beautiful and moving new composition. Johnson said "A simple, slightly sad, but pretty...melody I am working on. I am thinking about calling it "Cloudy Morn"

I see a humble young man, 20s maybe, professing his love to young woman who isn't sure if she can return his affections. He knows this, but professes anyway, hoping the sincerity of his expression will sway her heart.

I feel the song ends before we know what her ultimate response is."

Okorie Johnson is an Atlanta based musician who has been playing cellow fo over 30 years. He began his first lessons at age six and continued his career playing in orchestras, quartets, and string-ensembles.

Opting to attend Morehouse College instead of conservatory, Johnson continued to play classically in Spelman College’s string ensemble. But it was in his sophomore year of college that his playing changed permanently. Okorie stumbled into the joy of playing contemporary music and began developing a facility for bringing melodic cello accompaniment to acoustic, guitar-based soul, folk, and jazz.
