Jemaine Clement brings 'What we do in the Shadows' to American

Jemaine Clement is back with what promises to be another historical adventure. With a limited US release planned for FRIDAY THE 13th of FEBRUARY, WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS was independently produced without a studio distributor.
The film will open in New York City (at Landmark's Sunshine Cinema) and in Los Angeles (at The Arclight Cinemas/Hollywood) but the creators want to take it further. With the intention of bringing their film ALL across America a KICKSTARTER campaign was launched to help with the cost of posters, trailers, advertising, publicity and a list of other necessities. The folks behind the film have put together a plan with some of the best independent film minds around to reach as many cities and towns as possible, but they cannot achieve their goal without the support, enthusiasm, and generosity of their fans.
Film Synopsis:
Housemates Viago, Deacon, and Vladislav are three vampires who are trying to get by in modern society; from paying rent and doing housework to trying to get invited into nightclubs, they’re just like anyone else - except they’re immortal and must feast on human blood. When their 8000 year-old roommate Petyr, turns 20-something human hipster Nick, into a vampire, the guys must guide him through his newfound eternal life. In return, they are forced to learn a thing or two about modern society, fashion, technology, and the internet. But it’s the introduction of Nick’s human friend, Stu, that really changes the vampires’ lives and attitudes towards the world around them. When Stu’s life is threatened, the vampires discover that humans are worth fighting for, and that even though a heart may be cold and dead, it can still have feelings.
