Gary Owens (1934-2015)

Gary Owens was best known for his polished baritone speaking voice. His deadpan recitations of total nonsense, which he frequently demonstrated as the announcer on Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In were a hit with fans.

He was best known, aside from being the announcer on Laugh-In, for providing the voice of the superhero Space Ghost. He also played himself in a cameo appearance on Space Ghost Coast to Coast in 1998.

Mr. Owens passed away at his home in Los Angeles from the effects of his lifelong struggle with diabetes. He was 80 years old.
